About Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn started cutting hair around age 12. A SoCal gal Kaitlyn was drawn to the Paul Mitichell Academy in Costa Mesa CA after highschool and graduated with her Cosmetology License in 2012. Upon graduation Katilyn landed a spot as an apprentice stylist at the prestigious Riccardo Altieri salon in Newport Beach CA. Ricardo (the artistic director for the Matrix product line for 15 years) was an absolute fount of knowledge for the young stylist to work under. During her decade with Ricardo Kaitlyn studied men’s grooming, color theory, precision scissor work, high fashion blow drying and advanced color application. Soon the apprentice was a full fledged stylist and educator working with over 20 beauty schools in SoCal presenting classes on cutting, styling and color application as well as private “in salon” classes for other stylists in the Newport Beach area. In addition to her work in schools Kaitlyn loved supporting Ricardo and his brother Tony at international industry shows cutting and styling models for the runway and repping for Parlux blow dryers.

Encouraged by her folks to explore their new home town, Kaitlyn followed her parents to Prescott in 2020 and immediately fell in love with the friendly vibe and slower pace. She joined the HBJ team that October and has pretty much been booked out two weeks ever since.
