V76 was created by stylist and salon owner Michael V. Accord, or “Vaughn,” the son of a barber who’s been cutting hair since 1976. Vaughn is one of the most elite international men’s hair stylists—though the first person on his list of clientele was his brother, he’s gone on to work with icons of male style like Richard Gere, President Bill Clinton, Al Pacino, Lou Reed, and Bruce Springsteen. He’s also worked on runways of designers like Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, and Isaac Mizrahi. Vaughn’s reputation is sterling, and without rival in the industry. His products are built to match.
In their feature on Vaughn and his line of men’s haircare products, Esquire magazine says that Vaughn took 20 years to develop the formulas that went into V76. The line includes a little over 20 products, including shampoos, conditioners, waxes, gels, and sprays, as well as a focused line of incredible skin and facial grooming products, like shaving cream, shaving oil, shower gel, bar soap, or lip balm.
